Henry David was born

My brother's son was born on September 26 at 12:02 a.m. They named him about my father. He weighed 6lbs and is very healthy. Yesterday, we went to meet our newest member of the family. This makes number 10 for my parents. Paige and Preston loved him and Preston wanted to hold Hank the entire time. He is so precious and we are so happy that Preston will have a boy playmate.

Flying in a KC 135

Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to fly in a KC 135 with the Ohio Air National Guard. The purpose of the trip was to expose the community to the guard and to witness a refueling of another aircraft in the air. Upon arrival, I was a little hestiate because I am not a huge fan of flying but it was an opporunity of a lifetime. I was able to sit in the cockpit with the headset on the way up. It was really neat listening to the pilots. Then I watched as a C 17 flown up to our plane to be refueled. We were over the skies of North Carolina. The boom operator controls the refueling. He allowed me to man the controls for a little bit. It was such a neat experience and I survived.

Paige and Preston's Birthday

On Sept 14, we celebrated Paige and Preston's birthday. Yes it was the day of the crazy wind storm we had from Hurricane Ike. The party went great. We couldn't hang out outside for fear of being blown away but it didn't rain, so hurray for that and thank goodness the power went out after everyone left. The kids had a wonderful time and loved everything about the party. It will be a party that we never forget.

Ella's Birthday

One Saturday, we went to our friends Brooke and Steve's daughter's 3rd birthday party. The kids had a great time. They hired the best balloon, face painter I have ever seen. He made Paige butterfly wings, he made a birthday crown for Ella, and even made this boy a bike that we could put his legs through and act like he was riding it. It was very cool.

Bringing back the 80's

Our friends April and Chris had an 80's anniversary party this past weekend. I thought I would share some pictures of us dressed up. We had such a good time. They even had a DJ who played 80's music all night. The kids were at my sisters for the night so we really enjoyed ourselves. Geoff was known as Run DMC and everyone called me Lisa Lisa. I even sported the Banana Clip
Madonna(Karen), Punky Brewster (Mandy) and Lisa Lisa(me)

Mickey and Minnie Mouse

I decided to have one joint family birthday party for the kids. Paige and I thought that Mickey & Minnie would be a great theme for a boy/ girl party. I decided to save some time with invitations and make a personalized evite with the kids pictures and these were the ones I used. The much anticipated party will take place this Sunday. Lets pray for sunshine. Hurricane Ike may ruin our outside party.
