Last week, Paige's class had a chick hatching potluck. For 21 days, they studied eggs and animals that hatch from eggs. A local farm gave them about a dozen eggs to watch hatch. The eggs stayed in an incubator in their classroom. They also got to crack open an ostrich egg and an emu egg, (I am still waiting for Paige to tell me what an emu is). Around the 21st day, the chicks started hatching. Paige was so excited. Not all of them hatched though. The teachers decided to have a chick hatching party since the chicks would have to go back to the farm. Since I forgot my camera, Rhea's dad sent me these pictures.
